Elevating awareness, participation and pride for the Las Cruces, NM Comprehensive Plan.


Working with the City of Las Cruces, we wanted to create an engagement brand that could live beyond the comprehensive planning project at hand and that could be used as a public engagement brand and platform for multiple city wide initiatives.

We wanted the branding to be representative of Las Cruces and speak toward an optimistic future and inspire pride, so we landed on the name Elevate Las Cruces. It serves as a call to action for residents to get involved and Elevate Las Cruces.

Project Website

We developed a custom project website at ElevateLasCruces.com to serve as the hub of all project communication. During the planning process, the website featured a calendar of upcoming public meetings and events. It also provided regular updates on the status of the project, housed interactive surveys, and linked to documents, presentations and maps.

The website encouraged visitors to enter their email so that they could be notified of new posts, surveys, events and other information related to the project.

We also developed a Spanish version of the brand and website as well as project surveys, flyers and public meeting information. Translations were always done by professional, human translators rather than relying on automated translations which are often inaccurate.


The CivicBrand team assisted the planning team in public engagement at public meetings and pop-up engagement booth events at the Farmers Market. We designed and printed all booth graphics and provided photography of engagement events.
