BeautifyOKC

Beautifying a city the size of Oklahoma City requires more than identifying places that could look better. With $32.9 million in MAPS 4 funding dedicated to beautification, the challenge was determining what types of improvements belonged where and how investments could reflect the priorities of communities across the city.

CivicBrand led public engagement for the BeautifyOKC Master Plan, gathering input to understand how residents define beautification and what they wanted to see in their neighborhoods and along major corridors.

That input informed a placemaking and beautification matrix developed by CivicBrand to guide future projects, from landscaping and gardens to murals and other public realm improvements. The framework gave the City a practical way to connect community priorities with project selection and investment, helping ensure beautification decisions are both strategic and grounded in what residents value.
